File of Life

The File of Life is a medical information packet designed to provide emergency personnel with necessary medical data to begin immediate treatment. The packets include a wallet for the refrigerator and personal size wallets. There is a sticker for the exterior doors of the home, to let emergency personnel know that the residents participate in the program.

Calabash Fire Corps, with the aid of a grant from Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation, has purchased a supply of File of Life packets. We would like to be able to distribute these packets to all households throughout the district.

Volunteers will be handing out packets at the Oceanside Place Club House on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.

Packets will also be available for Brunswick Plantation residents at the quarterly Newcomers Coffee meetings.

The packets are free to all residents of the Calabash Fire District. An optional donation of $2 per household may be made.
